Babcock Sisters Return to USYVL
USYVL was honored to welcome back two former players, Olivia Babcock and Natalie Babcock, for a special meet & greet during our Spike & Play Clinic at Borchard Community Center in Newbury Park on Monday.
During the first half of the clinic (5:30–6:15 PM), players had the incredible opportunity to meet NCAA Division I Player of the Year Olivia Babcock, along with her sister Natalie. The session featured a lively Q&A and photo opportunity, giving current players the chance to interact with one of the top collegiate volleyball players in the country.
Throughout the session, Olivia and Natalie shared their volleyball journeys—from winning a CIF championship, to competing in both indoor and beach volleyball, and now experiencing different paths at the collegiate level. Olivia discussed her remarkable career at Pitt, where she earned Freshman of the Year honors, became a two-time National Player of the Year, and helped lead the Panthers to the Final Four three consecutive seasons. Natalie shared her decision to hang up her kneepads and pursue a business degree at NYU, highlighting the many paths volleyball can open beyond the court.
During the on-court portion of the clinic, Olivia and Natalie also worked directly with players, sharing setting tips and technical insights, and finished the evening by signing autographs for all participants.
It was an inspiring night for our athletes and a reminder of the strong volleyball community that USYVL continues to build. We are grateful to Olivia and Natalie for taking the time to give back and motivate the next generation of players.
