This week marks the beginning of USYVL’s fall league season. We are excited to have our returning players join us this season and for the many new players this fall. USYVL will have over 60 fall programs beginning in the next couple of weeks where boys and girls ages 7-15 will learn and play volleyball this season.

As the season begins, there are a couple of reminders for what to expect on the first day.

For players, please arrive for check-in at least 30 minutes prior the beginning of practice and bring your USYVL volleyball.

Additionally, players should arrive in athletic attire, t-shirt, shorts or sweats and athletic shoes. USYVL issued team t-shirts are distributed before your first game (generally the second week of the season). The Site Director will receive all shirts and distribute them to the Coaches. USYVL also encourages you to bring water and sunscreen to practices and games.

Volunteers such as Coaches, Assistant Coaches, First Aid and Registration, please arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the start time to help with set-up.

For coaches please note that team names are due to the Site Director before practice ends, it is important that your team chooses a team name on the first day.

Remember that USYVL is a volunteer organization. Our best programs are those where parents volunteer and help create a fun and positive environment. If you have not already signed up to be a volunteer, we encourage you to sign up today or see your Site Director on the first day of the league.

If you have any questions regarding what to expect on the first day of fall leagues, please feel free to contact USYVL at 1-888-988-7985.

USYVL’s summer league season recently concluded. It was another great season of fun and volleyball in sites across the country from California and Washington to Illinois and Pennsylvania. We have seen tremendous growth in our summer programs and the progress at these sites has led to more fun and more volleyball in communities across the country.

In just our second summer season in Lake Tahoe, California, the league continues to grow. USYV’s mission is to provide every child between the ages of 7 and 15 the chance to learn and play volleyball in a fun, safe, and supervised environment.

It has been a rewarding experience to see the growth in leagues like our Lake Tahoe program and others across the country. A large amount of the credit goes to our wonderful volunteers and volleyball coaches who have worked to build new programs into thriving leagues in just a year’s time.

USYVL programs run on the enthusiasm and energy from our parents and volunteers. A special thank you to our volunteer Site Directors and dedicated volleyball instructors for helping our Lake Tahoe participants enjoy fun, action, skill development, and learn the importance of teamwork during the league season.

A special thank you to all of our summer league participants and volunteers. You made this one of the best summer seasons for USYVL. We hope to see many of you soon at another USYVL program.
