The United States Youth Volleyball League is excited to announce a new program in Pasadena, California this spring. We have worked hard to bring a new instructional volleyball program to the city of Pasadena for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 15. This spring will be our first season in Pasadena and we would love you to join us to learn and play volleyball.

Our Pasadena program will be at Victory Park in Pasadena and will run on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Please visit our Pasadena registration page to register and read more about the league.

As our newest league to the spring slate, here are some highlights that parents and participants will see with our Pasadena league:

• Ages 7-15 (Divisions: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15) (Age divisions are determined by child’s age on November 1st of participating year).

• While the program teaches children the skills necessary to excel in the sport of volleyball, the focus remains on participation, cooperation, sportsmanship, responsibility and, of course, fun!

• Strength, endurance and improved coordination result from the weekly activity of the program. Furthermore, a season of league games is sure to provide plenty of exciting volleyball action.

• Skills taught using technically correct methods for peak performance and safety.

• The USYVL is a family-oriented program where parents, siblings, grandparents, and friends are strongly encouraged to become involved.

Our leagues involve parents and families. When you register, make sure you sign up as a volunteer coach or assistant coach. No experience is required. There is a dedicated Clinician (Volleyball Instructor) at each USYVL site. As a volunteer, you will help the Clinician to monitor courts, assist with practice drills, and help with games. Our best sites are those where parents are actively involved with the kids to help them learn and play volleyball. To learn more about volunteer coaching with USYVL visit our, “Why Coach” page.

If you are new to USYVL, we encourage you to bring along your friends. We have a Refer a Friend program perfect for you to share the fun of volleyball with your family or friends. If you refer one of your friends to USYVL, we will send you a t-shirt! To learn more visit our Refer a Friend page.

Volleyball is coming to Pasadena! Come join us!
In just a few short months, USYVL will begin another spring season. The deadline for the regular registration rate is this week, Wednesday, March 1. After Wednesday, there will be a late registration fee until April 1. Don’t miss out on the savings and fun. Make sure you sign up this week!

To locate a program in your area or to sign up, visit our registration page.

The spring league is open to all boys and girls ages 7-15. The instructional league is perfect for boys and girls just starting out with volleyball or for those that are looking to improve their skill level. Each league site has quality volleyball instructors that help participants learn and enjoy playing volleyball.

One of the main tenets of our leagues is to encourage children to do their best with their abilities. With an emphasis on positive reinforcement, the program seeks to build confidence and self-esteem in each child.

At USYVL, every child plays. Your child will have fun while participating in a program that offers action, skill development, and teamwork. We encourage all participants to invite friends or family members to sign up this spring. If you refer a friend to the program, USYVL will send you a Volleyball Starts Here t-shirt.

We also encourage parents to get involved and volunteers at our league sites. Why let the kids have all the fun? There are numerous ways to participate as a volunteer. We welcome parents and other family members to volunteer as an assistant coach or to help with administrative duties at our program locations. No previous experience is required. All you need is enthusiasm and the desire to make each spring league better than ever.

Volleyball Starts Here!

Volunteer coaching is a fun way to get involved and work with young players in a volleyball atmosphere.

High School students who volunteer with USYVL can receive up to 40 community service hours. The weekly time commitment for volunteers is generally three to four hours per week.

USYVL operates co-ed youth volleyball leagues for kids ages 7-15. Our leagues have four age divisions 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-15.

Each league has a dedicated Clinician (Volleyball Instructor) that supervises the local site. Under the direction of the Clinician, volunteer assistant coaches guide players through drills, lessons, practices, and games.

If you love being involved with your community or playing volleyball and enjoy working with kids, this is a perfect opportunity to get involved.
